How to calculate the price of an Instagram Influencer

Today, It’s very common for brands to pay Instagram influencers to promote their products and services. But one big problem is that most Instagram influencers are usually very young and inexperienced, which makes it very tricky for them to ask for the right amount of money in return for a sponsored post.
There is 2 important metrics that you need to take into account when determining the price for an Instagram post from an influencer:
- How many followers does the influencer have?
- How many likes do the influencer get on average per post?
After researching over 2000 influencer marketing campaigns we came to the conclusion that brands are willing to pay:
- $2.5 per 1000 followers
- $0.025 CPL ( cost per like)
So let’s say that the influencer have 10.000 followers and 2.000 likes on average on their instagram posts. This is how you’d calculate the price:
- (number of followers) * 0.0025$ = 25$
- (number of likes ) * 0.025$ = 50$
- (Cost for followers) + (Cost for likes) = $75
So the price for an Instagram post with this influencer is going to be= $75.
